The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) publishes its monthly stats

Some 340,980 homes have changed hands in Canada so far this year. This is 1.8% less than the same time last year. But between August and September, are 0.8% of home sales that were made more compared to last year.

Sales have improved from one month to the other in just over half of local markets where we note that the increases in Greater Vancouver and Greater Toronto came offset declines in Calgary and Montreal.

Moreover, the average price of residential sales increased 8.8% in September 2013 compared to September 2012.
